Most stairlift companies will promote a from price, that’s because until they’ve visited your home and done an assessment of the staircase and the user or users it difficult to give a definitive price.
Straight Stairlifts
The length of the track can vary and the type of track, i.e., manual, or powered hinge. You might need upgrades, like power swivel seat or footplate options, specialist seat belts. These obviously all have a bearing on the price.
Curved Stairlifts
It is the same for curved stairlifts, the track might need different types of bends, different stairlift start and finish considerations, and again different power upgrades. Again, these obviously all have a bearing on the price.
When Considering Price!
It is important to ask what the price includes. How long are the guarantees and what are the warranty costs after the manufacturer’s warranty runs out. This should always be considered when comparing one quote to another.
Note: We recommend that you read our copy of the BHTA ‘Get wise to buying a stairlift’.
It is always a good idea to get three quotes to evaluate the best price and options for you.
